Hi, my names Katrina Burgoyne. I am a passionate singer/songwriter with a dream to move to Nashville, Tennessee.
Growing up in a small rural town in regional Australia called Gunnedah, opportunity to pursue and nurture a gift in music was only given to those who were passionate enough to seek it.
From traveling a two hour round trip to Tamworth, the Country Music Capital of Australia for singing lessons and any opportunity that presented on a weekly basis 15 years later, in 2015 I found myself traveling around the world to the Nashville, USA. Where I spent 3 months dedicated to chasing my dream of becoming a successful singer/songwriter.
Over the past 10 years I have performed over 1,500 shows in venues across Queensland and New South Wales, averaging 170 gigs a year (almost enough to be an overnight success).
In 2011 I released my debut album "White Flag" which saw three top 10 charting singles, the album peaked at no.11 on the ARIA chart and secured me 2 CMAA Golden Guitar Nominations.
I've had so many moments of self-doubt, questioning my ability and swallowing the pain of rejection. In 2014, I achieved my greatest achievement yet. I kicked depression's butt.
Finding a new sense of worth and belief. I jumped on a plane to brave my next adventure.
In 90 days of living in Nashville, I wrote over 50 songs, built a network of inspiring and influential people, gained believers and interest from publishers played a headline show at the famous bluebird cafe and have been invited to make Nashville my home.
I BELIEVE THAT I CAN DO IT!
