Katie's Stolen Motorbike
Donation protected
Katie brought this bike to be able to commute to work in Tewkesbury, but in less than 2 months of buying the bike, it was stolen in broad daylight from a public car park.
The bike had 2 security devices fitted, but the local council do not provide anywhere for the bike to be anchored nor are we allowed to fit one, so the two males who stole the bike merely backed the van upto the bike and lifted it in.
Apart from the theft of the bike the main issue that has occurred as a result is that she now struggles to get to and from work as the local bus links to Tewkesbury, which is 25 miles away are non existent after 8pm.
Unfortunately the last bus is before she finishes work (at 9pm) and her employer hasn't been very helpful in adjusting her hours to assist her. She is currently trying to get work closer to home but unfortunately there isn't much in the local area. It is also a loss of her independence as she is now reliant on me or the buses which as we are in a rural area are good at the best of times.
I am looking to raise this money so she can clear the deficit left as a result of the insurance not paying out enough to settle her finance on the bike and also a deposit on a new vehicle.
Whether you donate £1 or £100, Katie and I will be eternally gratefully.
Thank You!

It also featured in the Ross Gazette which is the local paper.
