My amazing mother suffered a stroke on Tuesday, September 1, 2015. That moment in time changed her, and she is fighting to get back to playing with her grandchildren, maintaining a strong mental focus, walking without the use of a walker, and enjoying life, the way she once knew.
She is out of the hospital and continues out-patient Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy, three times a week. She uses a web-based program that was recommended by her therapist, it helps her to re-train her brain .
Funds will help her to continue brain training therapy at home, as well as financially assist her with her co-pays and medical bills. Any donation, no matter the amount, is greatly appreciated. $5 will help cover the cost of a prescription or co-pay. Please know it will all go towards helping Kathie get back on her feet, back to work, and back to life as she knew it.
