Kids Afterschool Camp Scholarship

       When I was a young kid, I knew from the time I was old enough to understand what I was seeing, that when I grew up, I wanted to be a chef, or own a karate school.
Well a lifetime later... Here I am. It wasn't easy to get here, & it's certainly not easy to be here now that I am here.
       I opened my Martial Arts School in 2012 to replace a program that was closed by a guy who just gave up on his following. I took a chance and set out to help a group of people who needed a program and a place for their kids to be safe and supervised after school until they were done with work.
       Then I began talking to parents and kids from this, OUR community, that didn't & don't have the money for a martial arts/afterschool program. This is where YOU & I come in. I don't want to see another kid being taken anywhere by the police, only to be gobbled up by a system that is just going to treat them like they're less than human.
     The "STATE" DOES NOT CARE!!! They will NOT help these kids. They've pretty much been written off. But I won't write them off & I WON"T forget about them. I'm asking you to help me sponser some of these kids to help get them involved in something positive, healthy and productive after school. 
     There are too many children without supervision & other alternatives that will make bad decisions and end up going down the wrong path, simply because they're left to wander around without guidance, and don't have anything better to do. I know, I was one of them.
       I'd like to be able to reach out and help more than just one of these kids. I'd like to able to give these kids an outlet to express themselves and give them the same opportunity that was given to me.
But I can't do it alone, it's all done together with friends and people who care about what these kids are involved in.
     Martial Arts teaches Respect, both for yourself and others, Responsibility, Honor, Compassion & Forgivness. As well as Courage and Confidence. Plus it's a healthy outlet for children to let out  some energy and learn about being healthy & getting into shape. With your help, we can impact the lives of the children in our city in a positive way and help them realize their goals dreams and potential.
So please give what you can, it can weekly, monthly, 1 time only. A lillte or a lot.
The more kids we help now, the fewer kids we see or hear about on the news.
