NIHF-STEM HS musicians to Disney

The National Inventors Hall of Fame STEM High school would like to invite you to make a positive impact in both a child’s education and our community. Our band and orchestra program has been selected to participate in Walt Disney World’s Festival Disney National Competition. We are very excited to be chosen for such an honorable competition!
This is our first out-of-state trip as a new school. We are excited! Our school was founded in 2012 and we are adding one grade each year. We currently have grades 9-11 at our school and have a few seniors who join our arts program from a neighboring Akron Public high school.
Seventy percent of our students live below the poverty level. However, we do not want this to be an impeding factor for the students to experience this opportunity. We are running many fundraisers along with looking for sponsors to help us reach our goal.
Your donation will help our students gain experience in performing for an international audience while building self-respect and self-confidence that they are exceptional musicians. Research has shown that the more life experiences we can provide for our young people, the richer our community will become for future generations.
Many of our 78 students have not been out of the state of Ohio. This opportunity, while providing a variety of fun experiences will provide many firsts. They will get to stay in a hotel, fly on an airplane, and build memories and relationships to last a lifetime.
Please consider if you would be able and willing to sponsor a musician for this life-enriching experience. Each musician needs to earn $900 for his or her trip. Every sponsorship and donation goes into our scholarship fund to help each student meet their financial goal.
