EVENT DETAILS: By donating any amount here, you and your guests are registered to run in our 5k on March 21st, either in Garner at Lake Benson Park, at 10am EST, or wherever you call home. Every donation will help. Pay what you can for your friends and family to join the fun, and help us keep this school open for future generations.
Dynamic Community Charter School is the only public school for exceptional children, or children with special needs, in North Carolina. This is its first year of operation and while the students, parents and teachers are making tremendous strides toward academic and social goals, Dynamic Community Charter School needs additional revenue to make it through our first year.
We are tuition-free and accept students regardless of diagnosis or degree of disabilities. Government funding falls well short of what is necessary to provide our students with the smaller size classes, customized learning plans, and support services they need to be successful. Charter schools are not provided resources to equip and building and school beyond the funds received for each pupil at every school. Additionally, DCCS receives disability funding only for students in the public school system last year, not the 22 students who were homeschooled last year - students who could not find appropriate accommodations in the public school system now afforded the opportunity to receive instruction in an environment that has been designed to best meet their specific needs.
As noted above, we are eligible for additional funding next year helping ensure our organization success in the long term. We are working closely with our community at large to help us bridge our current operating gap for remainder of this school year.

If you are running remotely, please post pictures and updates on the DCCS Facebook page. Form local teams! Send us your stories, pictures and updates! Make signs and your own t-shirts! We are very excited to connect with friends across the world who share and understand our situation. And be sure to wear green wherever you are on that day to support the DCCS Dragons!
If you would like to forfeit your swag, those funds will go back to the school as a donation. This option is recommended for those of you who cannot attend the actual event. Every single penny not spent on swag and postage goes directly back to the school.
