Faith & Hope:Medical Mission Trip

I will be doing my first medical mission trip with Faith In Practice to Guatemala in early May. The mission of Faith In Practice is to improve the physical, spiritual, and economic conditions of the poor in Guatemala through short-term surgical, medical and dental mission trips and health-related educational programs. Faith In Practice was born out of a response to God's calling to serve the poor.
I enjoy working with underserved patients. I had the privilege to join a couple of medical mission trips to Mexico and South Texas. When working with this patient population, I learned that it is the simple things in life that count and even though many of them don't have many of the basic needs that we take for granted in our daily lives, they still find hope and happiness in their daily blessings. It is a rewarding experience to be there for them when they need the most help.
I want to join this team of talented and giving individuals to deliver care to more than 25,000 patients in underpriviledged area of Guatemala.
