My Mum knew very early on that things weren't going as they 'should'. I wasn't hitting my milestones and had habbits that concerned people. I would often bang my head, sometimes until it bleed and would engage in repetive behaviours. I have limited speech and they tell my parents that it's unlikely I will ever have speech that's considered 'normal' for my age.

At twenty-two months old I was offically diagnosed with ASD but it didn't stop there .. two days before Christmas 2014 my parents recieved my cognitive report in the mail and it indicated I should be diagnosed with an intellectual disability too
Friday the 6th of Feb 2015 I was diagnosed with a intellectual disability

I realise it's hard for people to understand what life is like raising a special needs child. As a parent you get credit for your strength and perseverance but people don't always know the depth of your struggles.
We've done alot of research and believe an assistance dog could help Chase immensely.  An autism service dog is a service dog trained to assist a person with autism to help them gain independence and the ability to perform activities of daily living similar to anyone else
For the most part these dogs are trained to perform tasks similar to those of service dogs
Chase would benefit from an assistance dog greatly .
