Beths battle with cystic fibrosis

This is our daughter Bethany Michelle Jones.
She has CYSTIC FIBROSIS. 
We are trying to raise the funds for a PHYSIO VEST for her.


CYSTIC FIBROSIS is an inherited genetic disease  caused by a faulty gene. This gene controls the movement of salt and water in and out of your cells so the lungs and digestive system gets clogged with thick sticky mucus making it hard to breathe and digest foods.

There is currently NO CURE for CYSTIC FIBROSIS.
But there are treatments that can help to manage and prolong or prevent further damage to the organs.

Every week 5 baby's are born with CYSTIC FIBROSIS and 2 people die from it.

The vest consists of an inflatable vest connected by tubes to an air pulse generator. The generator rapidly inflates and deflates the chest walls mimicking mini coughs that dislodge and thin the mucus moving it along into the larger airways where it is easier to cough up.

The physio vest costs £7000 and is not funded by the NHS. This is why we are trying to raise the funds for it.
