Kaos’ Story

Hi!  My name is Kaos. My friends also call me Wonkey Donkey, I’ll explain that later.

I was rescued with my litter mates from a horrible breeder in Ireland. I came to England to live and that’s when I found my new Mum and Pop, Ange and David. I’ve been with them for 2 years now.

We have a big family. There are Shadi and Ursa, my Akita sisters; Betty and Wilf, my Frenchie sister and brother; Frank, my Terrier brother and Jimmy, Dink, Puppy and Dillon, the resident felines. The really cool part is…we’re all rescues!!! That means Mum and Pop saved us and we’re special!!

All my brothers and sisters are nice and healthy. Boy, are they lucky! When I was about 10 months old, I started to have trouble with my back legs. They didn’t work just right and they made me walk funny. That’s how I got the nickname “Wonkey Donkey”. 

I’ve been to a lot of vets and taken a lot of medication to help with the pain and inflammation, but nothing ever made my back legs work right. I’ve even had 5 surgeries!! They tried, to put plates and pins and screws and wires in so my legs would work right, but that didn’t work either.

So, Mum found this guy who is a “super vet”, the very best in all of England and we went to see him. Turns out I have really bad knees and need them both replaced. I’ve never seen my Mum cry like that. The surgeries are really expensive and, I’m really scared ‘cause, I’m only 2 and, I have a lot more trouble that I want to get into!! But, my Mum and Pop say the surgeries are so much that they just don’t see how they are going to make it happen.

My Mum and Pop have tried so hard and have spent so much money on me already…I feel really bad ‘cause I’m so much trouble and I’m really scared what might happen if I don’t get new knees. I want so badly to be able to run and play with all my brothers and sisters...

I promise, if you help me, I’ll be a really good boy and will make you all proud!! So, will you PLEASE help me get my knees replaced? I’d really, really appreciate it.
