Justin had a brain bypass surgery on the left side of his head on Jan 5 2015. Justin has been struggling with his respiratory system since he has been out of surgery and is in the ICU. Justin has just been diagnosed with lung disease and a thoracic aortic aneurysm (An aneurysm is an abnormal widening or ballooning of a portion of an artery due to weakness in the wall of the blood vessel. A thoracic aortic aneurysm occurs in the part of the body's largest artery (the aorta) that passes through the chest.) Justin needs heart surgery right now but cannot have heart surgery until he gets the brain bypass done on the right side of his head or he will be at high risk of stroking out. Also Justin is undergoing physical therapy. His Family has been with him every step of the way. Due to Justin’s current state it will be posing a financial strain on us and as well as Justin. Justin has a brother and a sister too. Any donations will help us through this hard time as we are now on one income. Justin will be in and out of the hospital this year, any donation will going to any of Justin’s medical treatment that is not covered, medical equipment, lost wages and medication. Justin had been diagnosed with moyamoya disease also know as (puff of smoke) since he was born and was given not long to live from the day he was diagnosed with moyamoya. Justin has had many surgeries open lung biopsy, gallbladder removed, brain biopsy, hernia repair, over sized bladder, Patent Ductus Arteriosus repair , countless number of MRI, X-rays, CT scans. Justin has been in and out of the hospital most of his life. Justin is 14 now and still fighting! Currently he is at Dornbecher hospital in Portland Oregon.

Update 1-27-15: Just got call from the geneticist from Dornbecher. Justin is now diagnosed with ACTA2 mutation . Doctors want to meet with us and will tell us more at his appointment as they could not tell us much over the phone.

Update 2-10-2015: Justin went up to Dornbecher on Feb. 6th to see the geneticist only five other people have had the ACTA2 mutation. and one other person that has exactly what Justin has. so no real change witch is a good thing. everyone is still unsure what the long term outcome will be. On Feb. 9th Justin went up to see the cardiologist we found Justin now has been diagnosed with aortic valve regurgitation . Justin's next surgery will be on Feb. 17th 2015
