Gift of hope

The Patterson family received earth shattering news on February 14, 2003. Two State Troopers came to tell Julie that her husband, Trooper Brian Patterson, was killed in the line of duty. Julie was then charged with the impossible, telling her two children and preparing for the life ahead without her best friend, husband, and father of her children.

In October of 2005 the Patterson's faced another devastating event. Julie's son Tyler was struck by an oncoming vehicle while riding an ATV to go visit his father's grave. Tyler fought for his life in Pittsburgh Children Hospital for several weeks. Tyler eventually grew stronger, but lost his left leg as a result of the accident.

The family continued to live life to the fullest; however, in October of 2011 Julie was diagnosed with Leukemia. Since her diagnosis Julie has undergone several treatments. The family has stuck together and has been surrounded by amazing friends who help as much as they can to ease the burden.

Julie is faced with more treatment. This page has been created in efforts to help alleviate some of the financial burdens associated with the treatments. Please help me help this family who has already been to hell and back.
