Judy's new face

This is Judy.
She's 13 and from Nyamira county in Kenya.
Three months ago she started having nose bleeds. Then she felt what she thought was a pimple inside her nose. It grew and grew. Her face is now completely disfigured by a huge cancerous tumour.
She appeared on Kenyan television but an appeal locally failed to raise the funds necessary to help Judy.
My good friend Lilian heard about Judy's plight and decided to help her out.
She has obtained a health card for Judy and attended initial hospital appointments with her.
Judy is due to go back to see the specialist about surgery, chemo and radiotherapy this week on 10 January. They need $600.00 by then for the treatment to commence. The total cost of the treatment is likely to be about $3,000.
Lilian runs a small children's home of her own and has worked with several other Kenyan charities supported in Australia and the UK (including Heart for Change and Mission in Action). I know every cent raised will go to Judy and her treatment.
If just 20 people each donated $30 we could get Judy's treatment started. I'm not usually very successful at this kind of thing but let's hope this effort proves different!
