Love for Kady

Donation protected
This fund has been set up for an eye operation for our sweet 7 year old daughter Kady. Her favorite thing to do is dance and do flips on the monkey bars! She is our miracle baby. We didn't think we could have anymore children after our son was born and then God blessed us 7 years later with this little girl.

At the age of 2 we started to notice her eyes drifting to the sides. We took her to a specialist and she told us she has strabismus, which is misalignment of the eyes. So after much consideration and trying other options, like patching her eyes, we decided to have eye surgery on both eyes when she was 4. The doctor tightened the muscles in both eyes. We were so excited because we saw so much improvement.

Last year we started to notice occasionally the eyes would drift out to the sides but not all the time. We went back to her doctor and she said Kady would need another surgery to fix this. We knew the risks involved. After a lot of consideration, we decided to have the surgery done. We didn't have the money to do it . We had so many medical bills already, but we wanted what was best for her. The surgery didn't turn out as expected. Her one eye now turned inward toward her nose and ther other eye turns inward a little less.  The guilt I felt. I never wanted to hurt her. So many tears I cried over this. There were many sleepless nights. I could't believe this could happen to our little princess. Her eyes looked worse than before. Needless to say my husband Mike  and I were very upset. After all the pain she see went through with this operation and she looked worse. She didn't look like my Kady. The thing about her is that she never complained about how her eyes looked.  She looked in the mirror everyday and said "Mama does it look better today?" It broke my heart. We always try to keep it positive with her and to never show her how upset we are.   She is such a strong little girI, but I know she is embarrassed by this.  When we go somewhere , she will look down a lot so someone doesn't notice how her eyes look. She is a very shy person to begin with but this makes it so much worse. The degree to which the eyes turns in varies from day to day.  Some days the eyes look pretty good and other days they are all over the place. I turned to my Savior in prayer. I needed the peace and comfort only He can give. I found that peace through prayer. I often think if we love her this much just imagine how much more her Savior loves her and will take care of her!   I prayed that He would give me an answer on what to what was best for her.

I have complete confidence in Kady's doctor. She told us that Kady needs another surgery Asap. Her eye turning inward could effect her vision  in that eye. She told me that Kady is only the second child to need a third surgery.   She also said that as kids get older they could notice her eye more in school and possibly tease her.

We have a $12,900 deductible a year. I went to our pastor and he gave this idea of setting up this page to possibly receving some help so we can get Kady's eyes fixed. Thanks for taking the time to read this. My husband and I don't usually ask for help. Its a very humbling experience! We have worked so hard but the bills just keep piling up. Its been so unbelievably stressful. We would appreciate if you would pray for our family and please feel free to share our story. Any help to fix our little girl's eye would be so appreciated.  God's blessings to everyone❤
