Giving to Fly
www.givingtofly.com

Giving to fly is a 501 (c) (3) Non Profit that  provides airfair coverage for amputees and their families to get to camps, clinics or training session/camps that enrich their lives physically, socially or emotionally.  These events provide education, support, opportunity and overall fun for people living with limb loss. These events continue to strengthen the relationships within the amputee community and provide incredible mentorship and support to younger children and their families. Giving to fly makes the cost of the air fair to these camps not a factor in the choice to attend.

Founder: Jenna Powell
Jenna is a mother to two amazing athletic little boys. Her oldest son was born without a major bone in his left leg which ultimately led to an above the knee amputation when he was 11 months old. Wearing a prosthesis has not slowed him down one bit!  She has seen first hand what a wonderful experience the camps and events can do to help the amputee community.

The Determined Parents Foundation:
www.thedeterminedparentsfoundation.org

The Determined Parents Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) Non Profit that provides supplemental financial support for special needs families for things like co-pays, deductibles, items insurance only partially covers and the items insurance will not cover. The DPF was founded by to special needs moms who know first hand how financially hard the road to therapy can be. The DPF strives to make it so a parent does not have to choose between putting food on the table/roof over their childs head OR the much needed therapy their child needs and deserves.

Founders:  Kelly Tipple and Heidi Dawson

Both Kelly and Heidi are special needs moms.  Kellys son, Jack, has Cerebral Palsey while Heidi's son, Patrick, has Sensory Processing Disorder as well as anxiety, dispraxia, apraxia  and fine motor issues. They both know first hand how difficult the costs of therapy can be...even with fantastic insurance!

The event itself is a 9 mile paddle board in the redmond slough (against the current of course) from Bothell Landing to Redmond.  The ladies are doing this to raise funds and awareness for the foundations and special needs communities.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read about us and our mission to help make this world a better place!

Hope to see you all there!!!

Thank you-
Jenna, Kelly and Heidi
