On December 1st 2014 my brother, Rick Troxel,
called to tell me he had been diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer with three months to live.
He moved home two weeks later.
...and three weeks later he was gone - just a day and a few hours after the close of Christmas day. We were blessed to have him home with family and friends for that day, but never expected him to go so soon.
We only had three weeks to absorb the news and hadn't even discussed final arrangements. It just happened too fast. Rick was still making plans to work and travel to one last car show in January.
The ONE thing he absolutely wanted was NOT to be a burden to anyone. Given his choice he would have donated his body to science so there would be no expense whatsoever.
Any funds donated will go to defray his final expenses
