You would never know that a tick could ruin a life so quickly. My name is Chance, I am 15 years old, and I am a Freshman in high school. My family and I have made this funding campaign to raise all of the money needed to help heal my mother from Lyme Disease. I'm the youngest and  I need my mother the most and I have Lyme Disease, as well. The picture for the campaign was taken on Thanksgiving and I am standing next to my mother, while my arm is helping her stand. That was the first time my mother had gone anywhere, except to the doctor for 3 months,  and she got 100 times sicker day after day. Lyme Disease is destroying my mother's life day after day. Right when my mother found out she had Lyme Disease, I did research and found out that Lyme Disease can kill my mother. When I saw that my mother has so many terrible symptoms, I was glad I discovered what was going on. My mother needs treatment from a Lyme Disease doctor and so do I.  A non-Lyme Disease doctor gave my mother a shot and some antibiotics. Three months later, she was sick as she ever was. I'm happy that I have done research because that is how I found Gofundme.com. There is a way for my mother to get the help and treatment she needs and I am very grateful for everyone who donates. Just think about how much your donations will mean to my mother and me. My mother has 7 children. A few years ago, my mother became a single parent and it was an extremely frightening and confusing time for me. We lost our home - my mother's dream home- the only home I have ever known. My mother had a puppy adoption business out of our home and she couldn't do that anymore when we had to move into an apartment. We had to give away our pets in order to do that. So, my mother went to work caring for medically fragile children in special education for the school district and she absolutely loved it. But, when everything was going so well for her, she was laid off because of budget cuts. The whole program she worked in collapsed and I remember it very clearly. I remember thinking that the little children she worked with would really miss her. That's the best thing my mother is best at - loving people. My mother started another business and we were able to move into a little house right by my high school. We were so happy, we were helping each other, and we were starting to rebuild our lives. All of the couples in the campaign photo are engaged and are going to have weddings soon and my sister is leaving for college in 6 weeks. We have all of these wonderful things going on in our lives, but my mother being sick, is not one of them. My mother talked with a Lyme Disease doctor and he charges $495 for sitting down and talking. The Lyme Disease doctor does not take any insurance and therefore, we have to use cash. We don't have anymore money to help my mother in any way. The Lyme Disease doctor told us it would be about $25,000 to get treatment and help my mother get her life back. My mother was bit by three ticks that my brother and I brought back from a camping trip. The ticks were in our sleeping bags and got onto the couch and my mother woke up on the couch with all three ticks on her. Part of the treatment that my mother needs for Lyme Disease includes IVs that are directly connected to her arms and heart and our insurance does not cover it and so  we have to pay in cash. We don't have enough money or have enough time to try and save up  the $30,000 she needs for treatment. Your donations will help me get my mother back.
