The SC KINGS were established in 2006 in Columbia, SC to provide an outlet for highly skilled young men to pursue their dreams of playing college basketball. Our young men, though highly skilled, come from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds and do not possess the financial means to contribute to our ambitious travel schedule itinerary.
Our registration fees for the past 3 years have been $500 which covers the tournament registration fees, uniform, sneakers and SC KINGS apparel. As you can see, our hotel and other travel related expenses are not included within the registration fees. We have 4-5 fundraising events which assist with offsetting these costs such as hosting our own tournaments and other local funraising events.
In the past, players with the ability to play college basketball have chosen not to play travel basketball due to the financial burden, hereby missing out on a chance to receive a college scholarship. I am proud to announce we have over FORTY (40) former SC KINGS playing college basketball at the Div-1, Div-II and PROFESSIONAL level!! We would like to continue this trend with YOUR HELP!!
