JCF Returns to the Philippines

(All of the money raised will go to help people in the Philippines.)
In November 2013, the Philippines was hit by the most powerful storm ever recorded in history, Typhoon Yolanda. In March 2014, a group of 12 volunteers connected from JET Christian Fellowship (JCF) in Japan went to three resilient Filipino towns that had been hit hard by the storm: Malaban, San Vicente, and Inusayan (First-hand accounts of the trip are viewable here ).
Although the storm passed more than a year ago, the impact of the storm continues to be seen in all aspects of life in these communities. This March 2015, JCF is sending a follow-up volunteer missions team in order to continue serving these communities in a deeper way.
All volunteers cover personal and travel expenses, which means that every dollar raised through this campaign will go directly to the communities. Last year, donated funds raised by charity concerts in the Kansai area of Japan made it possible to give full sets of new school supplies to the students of St. Vicente Elementary School in Tacloban, as well as food and hot meals to the broader communities in Tolosa and Biliran.
These funds will meet specific community needs as informed by our ongoing connections with community leaders in the towns as well as our first hand experience from last year. These needs may range from personal hygiene and household needs (i.e., toothpaste, sanitary napkins, household cleaning supplies, etc.) to educational needs (i.e. books for elementary school students, school supplies, etc.).
