This year I have had the best and worst year of my life. So many ups and downs. The positives have included finding a passion for making videos and going on adventures. The negatives being heartache and hard times, then everything was put into perspective when a family member become very ill and we did not know if they would be okay.
Dealing with this difficult situation made me think of all the other people out there that have a loved one or family member who is diagnosed with cancer. Understanding how hard it is to accept and come to terms with this sort of news I decided that I wanted to do something about it. So I decided that I should do something, inspired by the things I know best (cars, videos and strange ideas).
We are driving from Birmingham to Bucharest, in Romania, on a cross-Europe roadtrip covering over 1800 miles in a black cab. Yes, you heard, a London Taxi!
Below is the video of us going to fetch the car (a mini adventure of its own).
With this totally ludicrous car for the journey we will obviously have to make sure it is mechanically sound for the job.
Below is the video explaining why we bought this cab, as we didn't want to spoil the surprise right away!
So hopefully you will understand how big of a challenge this will be for us and will support us on this journey. As we are doing this for cancer research we have decided to set up this page, all donations will be sent to Cancer Research. We will in no way be taking any of this money, the taxi was paid for out our own pocket and so will everything else on this trip. We are just hoping to raise some money for this worthy cause, show our support for those effected by cancer and we might just manage to raise awareness on the way.
