With the heaviest hearts the time has come to say our final goodbyes to our superman. Jim is the greatest husband, father, son, brother, cousin, uncle, and best friend to so many. In 2009 he was diagnosed with stage 4 multiple myeloma. With no history of the disease and no idea what was in store he did anything and everything to fight. Throughout the last 7 years he's undergone two intense stem cell transplants (one with the help of his brother), countless rounds of chemo, radiation, double shoulder reconstruction, and immunotherapy treatments. Although treatments left him disabled nothing could stop him. Jim has been the Exaulted Ruler of the Lakewood Elks for the last 3 years and volunteered at the club daily. He spent all of his free time helping those in need, even while he was in need himself. Jim's spirits were always up and there wasn't a room he could walk into without making everyone smile. When this battle started we didn't know how far we'd get, but we never wanted to believe it would be this short. He's been one hell of a fighter and we couldn't be more proud. The money raised will be used for final expenses and 7 yrs of piled up medical bills. A financial burden will be one less burden the family has to worry about during this unimaginable time.
