Crocodile India Conservation Trip

I am the supervisor of reptiles at a zoo in West Central Florida.  I have worked with variety of animals including tigers, Organutans, Otters, Anteaters, Kangaroos, and many more, but my passion lies with the conservation of Crocodilians around the world! 

I have a once in a lifetime opportunity to attend the crocodilian specialist group meeting of 2015 that's being hosted by the Cambodian Government.  Though my zoo is willing to work with me some the trip and allow me th etime off the cost will be in excess of $3000. 

The rough draft itenerary will consist of heading to Thailand and spend a few days there working with a local crocodilian farm that has done wonders with conservation in that teritory and readily breeds the rare and not well known Tomistoma, one of the largest crocodilians in existence today.
From Thailand the plan is to drive to Cambodia (Siem Reap) and attend the 5 day conference where there will be hundreds of other like minded wildlife and crocodilian experts discussing the worlds crisis on some of the most endangered animals.   In Cambodia I plan to team up with the Wildlife Alliance which is another amazing facility that not only rescues native wildlife in the area, but rehabilitates many of the species well enough for redintroduction into the wild. 
After Cambodia, i will fly to Tamil Madu India to work with locals on one of the most critically endangered crocodilians, the gharial.   The Madras Croc Bank is known for it's success in many breeding programs and it's overall commitment to the well being of the animals held in their care as well as conducting field research to extend the longevity of the creatures' native habitat.  In addition helping the local people to work safely around the gharials is a must for the survival of the species.
