Shelly Sweeney's Medical Fund

My name is Karen Norrod and I am a good friend of Shelly Sweeney. Shelly is 53 years old and last April she had a heart attack. In May she underwent triple-bypass surgery. It is now 2015 and Shelly is still in the hospital! She is now finally allowed to eat solid foods rather than being fed through a feeding tube and just in December she was taken off the trach and that is still healing. She was finally able to speak for the first time in months! Her kidneys are shot, so she is undergoing dialysis three times per week. She is in intensive rehab now, so there is impressive improvement. She is walking for 26 steps at a time now, and after being in a hospital bed for 9 months, this is great! Shelly had to leave her job on disability and does receive some insurance but not enough to cover everything, especially after 9 months in the hospital. On top of that she only receives a percentage of her income being on disability, so she has to worry about how everything at home is going to be paid. She is so optimistic to when she will get to go home (unknown at this time) and become a productive person again, but right now she needs help. Any bit would help her! UPDATE: SHELLY FINALLY RETURNED HOME IN FEBRUARY! SHE STILL BADLY NEEDS ASSISTANCE! PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN!
