Create a Collection of Masque outfits

While business has been booming, Jesse Thaxton-- the designer for Melancholic Design-- has dreamed of a high end, alternative collection that could be made available to customers with a flair for one of a kind and fantasy imaginings. The Myth Masquerade is the perfect opportunity for this!

Due to not having a full collection of these types of pieces, I'm not able to prove my ability to create for potential clients and event organizers. But creating over the top pieces on a small business owner's budget is impossible without some kind of base capitol! It's downright hard"” it's lots of ramen, rarely venturing out beyond business trips, and generally scrimping and saving. I'd change none of that for the world but to make this next stage happen, I could -really- use some help. You see, I know I could design crazy over the top gowns and menswear and it could be phenominal"” this isn't a cocky statement it's a knowing what I can do and being confident to move towards that direction. I know how to block custom top hats, make crazy crinolines and generally create insane things that you'd see on Haute Couture runways. But those things take money. Lots of money.

What We Need

We need the funds to produce and show these garments in the proper environment-- the Myth Masquerade in Los Angeles. As one of the paramount high fashion costumed events with attendances by some of the biggest names in alternative fashion in attendance and showing, The Myth Masque is THE place to be as an alternative designer.

While I myself am still funding the bulk of the trip itself along with a good portion of the costs of production and my models are each putting in the costs for their accents, it's still not enough. What we need:

As you rise in the ranks you have something for everyone-- tshirts, jewelry-- all the things that I would be selling in order to reach my goal, but offered here at a lesser price as thanks for showing your support for this project.

There's one perk, however, that means alot. "the Model" With that,  we will arrange to custom make you an outfit for the Masquerade at an extremely discounted price. Every garment is going to be hand made, hand beaded. Hats are all hand blocked and shaped. This'll be a huge discount and is only for those who will be attending the Ball. But as an added benefit, on the morning of the ball we are planning a photoshoot of the models who've already signed on to participate. You'll be offered a chance to participate in this shoot and will receive all images of yourself. Please message Jesse Thaxton if you choose this option, so we can get to work as quick as possible! The Impact

So why this project? ANd why Jesse Thaxton.

This project will propel the designer Jesse Thaxton further into bringing fruition to creating opulent attire for the discerning alternative affeciendo. It will give the means to create and realize the intermingling of high fashion with fantasy. A long standing tradition of designers have achieved these things-- many of them from cities like LA and New York I want to show that Dallas an Texas are completely rockin' in the alternative design front.

Everything you see is created in house. Expect weekly updates as the project progresses, making each and every one of you the contributors a part of the fantastical dresses that have been imagined up for this project. It'll move fast-- often with multiple updates each week from conception to drafting, to creation and detailing.
