Cat survives shock/Liam's vet bill

Donation protected

This is Liam. He's almost 4 years old (August baby). On Tuesday, April 7 an animal scared him up a telepone poll. At 6:30 in the morning we heard a loud BOOM and our power went out. When we went outside we found his lifeless body laying across the transformer 25 feet in the air. 5 minutes or so later he woke up and then fell off the transformer to the ground. He has been at the vet's office since Tuesday and surprisingly his pronosis is very good. He is on antibiotics, pain meds and fluids. It was touch and go for the first 24 hours but he is making good progress. As of today (Thursday, April 9) he has had blood work done that stated his kidney/liver function is normal and has had a x-ray that showed his heart is good and that he has some (not much) edema in his lungs. The doctor said he has nerve damage in his right paw where the current left his body and if he doesn't regain feeling in it we might have to amputate it. At this point we don't know but I'm optimistic. When I visited him and held his paw he kneeded my hand. He will be going into surgery tomorrow to have the damaged tissue removed so that it doesn't get infected. After the surgery tomorrow the vet bill should be around $2000.00. He is a fighter with a good prognosis. I can't justify putting him to sleep when he is trying so hard to get better. Unfortuneately right now things are tight for us financially. Any help that anyone would like to donate would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
