Jeb's Eagle Scout Project

My name is Jeb King. I am seventeen years old and an Eagle Scout candidate from Troop 107 in Indianapolis. My project will benefit the special needs students at Franklin Township Middle School West. I will lead the construction of four raised garden beds that will allow the students to plant, tend, and harvest fresh greens and vegetables. The garden produce will then be utilized as part of the students' curriculum to cater meals to the faculty. The gardens will provide endless opportunities for learning, including the development of self-esteem, communication skills, patience, responsibility, and focus.

Two of the four garden beds will accomodate students in wheelchairs.

The funds will go toward supplies and materials such as lumber, gravel, soil, peat, and construction items.

(All money is being raised on behalf of Franklin Township Middle School West. Any funds remaining after the project is completed will become property of the school. The funds can be used to purchase supplies, tools, seeds, and plants.)
