Faline's Fight

Donation protected

At about 6 AM on 8/8/2015, Faline was viciously attacked by two dogs in my neighborhood. I didn't realize she had even gotten outside until an hour later (one of our window screens had ripped open). I found her in my neighbor's yard, unable to move and whimpering. I knocked on my neighbor's door to see if they could open their gate for me, but no one answered. I ended up hopping the fence to find my cat. She was covered in urine and dog saliva. She was breathing quick and short. When I lifted her, her body was limp. I rushed her inside and immediately called a cab to the nearest clinic.
My cabulance was wonderful and an animal lover herself. As I was sobbing in the backseat, trying to keep Faline awake and breathing, she was rushing me to the Affiliated Emergency Veterinary Service Clinic in Golden Valley.
They began taking care of Faline's surface wounds right away, before informing me she needed surgery. They asked I pay the fee of 2,211.39 before they could begin surgery. I quickly signed up for Care Credit, which gave me $500. I then pooled all of my money together to roughly $1,000. Thankfully, my mother helped me out with the last $711.39.

I received a call around 3 PM that Faline is okay. She had some internal bleeding, a puncture under her spine, and her kidneys were bruised pretty badly. But like I said, she is alive and okay. They are keeping her for 36 hours and running more tests periodically to ensure her kidneys stay functioning (which also means more fees).
I am beyond relieved to hear she is okay! However, I am now completely broke (having spent all of my savings) and I'm going to have to pay back my $500 in care credit within six months, as well as pay my mom her $700.
I'm attending school starting in two weeks and was relying on my savings to afford books and any other materials I may need for my program. If anyone has anything to spare, even $5, it would be tremendously appreciated. I will send you an autographed photo Faline once she is recovered and more willing to allow me to take some prints of her paw. Or I'll find some other way to make it up to you.
Thank you!
