Save my world

It is with a very heavy heart, and much hesitation that I do this as we're a proud family, but we need some help. Nearly a week ago, I was travelling Australia and about to start a new job, when I received a phone call that no one should ever have to take. It was my stepdad calling to tell me that my beloved mother, had suffered a large stroke and was in ICU. Obviously, I got the next flight home to be by her side, support her, love her and help as much as possible. Now, this is not a woman that drinks, smokes and doesn't look after herself, but instead, someone that goes to the gym 6 times a week, eats incredibly healthily, hasn't smoked for over 10 years and has a glass of Baileys on Christmas day. She recently made the decision to dedicate her life to becoming a carer for those that suffer from brain damage and is absolutely cherished in her job. She's the most incredible woman I and many others, will ever know and she deserves nothing but the best care to give her the best chance. The bleed on the left side of the brain has killed the cells that enable her to move the right side of her body, the ability to talk and her understanding of language. She is battling dyspraxia and aphasia amongst other issues. So far, in 5 days, the hospital has given one speech therapy session and one physio session! I'm hoping to raise money for private health care, from physiotherapy, speech therapy and even a rehabilitation centre. After a stroke, the first 6 weeks are absolutely critical and to have my mum back in the best shape, we need an alternative to a 1 to 1 session every few days! In a dream world, we want her back to being able to care for others, as it's her dream job and what she does best. Now, I know everyone says that they have the best mum in the world, but I truly believe it. Her entire life revolved around me and making sure I never wanted and needed for anything. She spent many years, raising me on her own, and pushing through so many challenges to only come out the other side even stronger. She has been my rock through the hardest of times, and now it's my turn to return the favour, but to do so, I need some help from you guys.. I am going to be by her side, day in day out doing all that I can, and my stepdad has done the same.  To offer stability, and the freedom to stay with her and get the very best help available, I ask you, please help in any way that you can.
