Memorial for 10 year old Gannon

Donation protected
Four days before Christmas little Gannon Warden, 10, gained his angel wings. Gannon died Sunday morning from a very rapid progressing Influenza A.  Gannon was the light of his family’s eye. He didn't like tears, so please don't cry. Only smiles as we remember Gannon and all the joy he brought to everyone he met. He is survived by his father Cale, a teacher in Leoti, KS, and mother Sherri Warden and the best little sister a boy could have, Elise. His grandparents Lisa and Jeff McNeely, Grandfather Neil Warden, Grandmother Marlene Spence Kilgore and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

We of course can’t forget his best buddy (other than his sister) and constant companion, a standard poodle named Winston. Winston and Gannon were inseparable. They had a very special bond. They clicked. Gannon had non-verbal autism but that never slowed him down. He was always on the go and LOVED to run.  Gannon had a fondness for horses and thoroughly enjoyed riding therapy.

Elise was overheard the other day telling her friend that her Gannon was incrediably special, and he was. She siad, "Gannon was invited to heaven to go to Jesus's birthaday party with him. So, he was speical."

His family is devastated by the loss of Gannon. At a time when they should be enjoying the holiday festivities, they are planning their beloved Gannon’s funeral. At a time when the holiday spirit should be surrounding them with joy they are absolutely overwhelmed with sadness.

We would like to raise money to help cover the medical expenses, the funeral expenses, including transportation costs to get Gannon home from the Wichita hospital, any left over funds will go towards any therapy or time off needed for the family, as well as helping Elise understand what has happened and why her big brother didn’t come home from the hospital.

Thank you for your support, thoughts, and prayers for the Warden family.
