My Volunteer Trip To Honduras

My Name is Aimee Garcia and I attend Alfred State College in New York. In spring of 2014 I made one of my best decisions and joined Alpha Beta Chi Sorority. Through my sorority, my sisters and I made the decision to take on Hope For Honduras as our Philanthropy Cause for the year! This cause has completely changed my life. Every day in Honduras, Infants die for completely treatable reasons. I have realized how fortunate I am to live in a country where we take things such as sterile medical equipment and clean water for granted. Suddenly, just raising money doesn't seem like I'm doing enough. I have realized that I not only want to raise awareness about the issues in Honduras but I need to go there and make as big of an impact as I possibly can. Therefore over spring break I will be going on a mission trip to Honduras to work and assist in hospitals in Tegucigalpa, the capital of Honduras. Taking this trip will help me make a difference to the people and the cause that has become so dear to my heart. I will be able to actively change lives and and save children. In order to go, I need to raise $1,500. I am asking for donations to support the cause and help me be an ambassador of good will to this country desperately in need of help.
