In February 2014 I came to Puerto Rico for a intern / work exchange program mainly because I needed a change of pace from my hometown Spartanburg SC. The first night I was there, my heart flipped in my chest and I knew I was at home. Little did I know a few weeks passed and I decided to stay on faith and I found an apartment that was truly a diamond in the rough!
I took a leap on faith and approached the landlord about obtaining the apartment. I got the keys, signed the lease and went back to Spartanburg to sell all my belongings and move back in a month, I said I would give it 6 months to see if I liked it.

It was hard at first, my Mom was sick and getting sicker, I checked with her doctor and he said if she lost weight she could come to PR to live.
Although my mom needed me in retrospect she told me to go back to Puerto Rico with her blessings. I had a little "island shock" at First but the ocean and salty air helped to remind me why I was there. My friends and family gave words of encouragement and I stayed.

6 months came fast and I loved every moment of it.

My mom suddenly got very sick and my month visit back home, turned into me coming home to place her into a hospital, then hospice care and kept me prayerful that her health would get better.
I was blessed and found someone to watch my apartment and pay the rent in Puerto Rico until my return.

Fast forward sadly my Mom passed away. I have amazing family that helped with her expenses and even some of mine. I could hardly function. My clients were ANGELS and still paid me even though I was not as productive. I am eternally grateful.

My Mom had no life insurance and no money in the bank.

I started selling juice and leggings (thank you to everyone that bought a pair of leggings and was patient when I got the flu)

I raised enough money to come back to PR with my best friend and fix up my apartment. I am blessed...once again and grateful.

I almost didn't come back to PR because I had Moms cute house and awesome car.
And a whole community surrounding me and becoming family ...I never thought Spartanburg would become home. It did and it is but I knew my Mom would not want me to stay.

Almost everyone, family and friends told me not to leave yet, I could always get an apartment in PR later but I couldn't stay in SC My spirit would not let me.

I was a mermaid and I needed this island town of Luquillo. This ocean and air and sunshine is truly my medicine.

I came back and fixed up my dream apartment.
I still don't now how we did it my best friend and I literally did an extreme makeover. We only went to the beach ONE time! No time for play only work to be done.


MY DREAM:

To provide a relaxing, creative, magical, comfy and cozy, healing home away from home for people.

And to also do juicing detox/retreats for people that wish to detox and soak in the sunshine.

I wanted to share this magical healing place with the kindred spirits in my life, ones I know and ones that are brought to me.

I did it.

After packing and selling ALL my Moms stuff (with the help of my dear friend and her mom...my new Adopted mom!)

I got my first booking for a Juice retreat ...I had to leave a little earlier than expected. I was so in awe at how things fell in place.

I had to sell my Moms car so j would have money to live on. I had to leave my dog with a sweet friend who is babysitting her for me. So grateful.

I had to leave my car to have it shipped later.

The first guest was amazing and confirmed that I wanted to so this 100%.

I am passionate about sharing my juicing success with people. I love having people in my home and doing little things to make them want to come back.

I was really doing it. I was back on the island.

Then I booked another juicing retreat. WOW.

I loved my second guest as well.

My Air bnb started out slowly ...but I still had faith ...I knew God would not have brought me this far to fail.

The airbnb started moving well... I have even gotten to super host and had almost 100% five star reviews.

I now have the opportunity to get the upstairs unit in my building. This is 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. The balcony is amazing and the view is heaven.

I signed the lease TODAY. first rental payment is due on the first (no security deposit)

My landlord is not going to fix up anything ...not even paint.

There are no window screens.

I have to get supplies AND furniture for 4 bedrooms.

There is hardly any used furniture here like on mainland. I miss goodwill and craigslist.

At first I was not gonna do crowd funding for myself.

It's hard to set these things up for me (now I know why my clients need me) I have run and managed 2 campaigns that were very successful...but for me??? Kinda scary.

Something told me tonight to set this up....so I am just going with it. Every little bit helps.

I want to create this safe place for people to heal spiritually and even physically. I want to help folks get their creative energy flowing. I want to share this beautiful town and island with YOU.

I will give this a spin.
