I had a couple other fundraisers set in place along with my GoFundMe account to help pay for the trip to Cuba. Unfortunately, they just weren't looking promising to raise the money for such an expensive trip. I was feeling a bit down when I realized I probably wasn't going to make it. As I contemplated my next move regarding the trip I received an USM Mailout in my email. Nine times out of 10 I look past and delete these emails. I decided to check it out this day when I saw a post for a trip called "Project Serve: Canada." This trip is remarkably cheaper and more realistic.
I will travel to Guelph, Ontario and stay at the University of Guelph from May 9th - 17th. While there I will help clean up rivers, work on farms, and even get to visit Niagra Falls.
I want to thank all of those who have helped me so far and I want to thank all of those who will help me. These generous donations are helping me fund the chance to travel and see as much of the world as possible. This has always been a lifetime goal of mine.
