Key es mi sobrina, nació el 6 de abril de 1996, es la segunda de tres hermanas. Key es una niña súper sociable, le gusta ir al cine, armar rompecabezas, sudoku y toca el violín. A diferencia de muchos adolescentes de su edad, Key disfruta ir a la escuela, le encantan las matemáticas y de grande quiere estudiar Ingeniería en mecatrónica.
En marzo de 2011, tuvo un dolor en la rodilla y por medio de una placa radiográfica el pediatra dignosticó "el problema", días después le realizaron una biopsia y se confirmó el diagnóstico Key tenía osteosarcoma, lograron salvar la extremidad y le colocaron una prótesis en la rodilla.
Desafortunadamente este tipo de cáncer es muy agresivo y puede causar metástasis en los pulmones, lo cual sucedió. Ha presentado varias lesiones y han sido retiradas, se ha sometido a 6 cirugías de pulmón y ha sido sometida a 3 ciclos diferentes de quimioterapia para tratar de erradicar la enfermedad.
En la última cirugía, que fue realizada el pasado jueves 11 de diciembre 2014, se tuvo que quitar un lóbulo del pulmón derecho. Por ahora Key y toda su familia, estamos a la espera que los médicos indiquen qué sigue, pues el cirujano opina que debido al tamaño del tumor que quitaron, será necesario otra sesión de quimioterapia, pero aún se encuentra en observación y a la espera que su oncólogo valore bien el caso y determine el camino a seguir.
Mientras tanto, todos en su familia estamos pidiéndole a Dios todos los días por su salud, y hoy yo quiero tocar los corazones de todos ustedes para que nos ayuden a apoyar a mi primo para el pago de los tratamientos de su hija, el costo es excesivo, y hasta el momento, afortunadamente han encontrado la manera de irlo solventando pero aún hay cuentas por pagar para que Key pueda finalmente estar bien.
Algunos pensarán que esta cantidad es muy alta, es una meta muy ambiciosa, pero si todos logramos dar un poquito de lo que tenemos estoy segura que la meta será alcanzada y tal vez rebasada.
Key, solo tiene 18 años y lleva casi 4 años luchando contra esta enfermedad, ella es una guerrera y está poniendo todo de su parte para curarse, solo falta nuestro granito de arena.

Key is my niece, she was born on April 6, 1996 and is the second of three sisters. Key is a super outgoing girl, she likes going to the movies , doing puzzles , sudoku and she also plays the violin. Unlike many teenagers her age , Key enjoys going to school, she loves Maths and she would like to study Engineering in Mechatronics .
In March 2011 she had a sore knee and through an X ray, her paediatrician diagnose a "problem". Days after, he asked for a biopsy and the diagnosis of osteosarcoma was confirmed, they managed to save her leg and they placed a prosthesis in her knee.
Unfortunately, this type of cancer is very aggressive and can cause metastases in the lungs, which unfortunately happened . She had several injuries and all those lumps have been removed. She also had a lung surgery in June and has been tried 3 cycles of different chemotherapies to try to eradicate the disease.
In the last surgery, which took place last Thursday December 11, 2014, doctors had to remove a lobe located in Key's right lung. For now, Key and her family are waiting for physicians to decide what's next, as the surgeon believes she will need another session of chemotherapy because the size of the tumour that was removed was like a ping pong ball, so he thinks it will be necessary, but she's still under observation and waiting her oncologist to value her status and to decide what will be the next step.
Meanwhile, everyone in her family are asking God every day for her health. Today I want to touch the hearts of all of you to help us supporting my cousin for the treatment of his daughter. The cost is excessive, and so far, he has found a way to do it, but there is still money to be spent looking for Key's health, hoping that she can finally be fine.
Some may think that this amount is too high, it is indeed, an ambitious goal, but if we all give a little of what we have I'm sure the goal will be reached and perhaps exceeded.
Key is only 18 years old and she's been fighting this disease for almost 4 years. She is a warrior and she is putting everything in her power to heal, and with God's will, our prayers and donations we will make this battle easier to fight.
