Please help while VA benefits stop

Last year we learned how difficult Christmas would be while depending on the limited paycheck that the VA provides to go to school. Since the semester ends in the middle of December, I only get a check for half the month. I have been attempting to sell off personal belongings on Craigslist in order to help create a bit of a savings, but it's not going too well.

On top of this already limited check, with me transferring schools in January, my VA benefits are going to be delayed an extra month. We most likely will not get any money on February 1st. This means that unless we can get some help that we won't be able to pay rent, or any of our other bills.

We're asking for help to create a savings that we can use during this time to keep a roof over our heads and keep our car from being repossessed. I am also in the process of finding any part-time/temporary work I can while school is out to help keep us afloat.

To family and friends, were asking that instead of presents for the us or the kids, to please make a donation to this cause. We'll do what we can to get a few small things for the kids so Christmas isn't a bust for them, but being able to pay bills is more important than toys.

My check from the VA is typically $1800/month, this is where the goal amount came from since they make you choose a dollar amount. We don't have any real goals, but anything and everything will help during this rough time. Those who know me, know that I hate asking for help, but desperate times...
