THE STORY:
THE CORNER is a short film about injustice and how negative stereotypes and racist views can lead to pernicious fractures between ethnic cultures in American society.
Set on a stakeout in Latino dominated East Los Angeles; a pair of Caucasian undercover policemen must confront their conflicting ideologies as they lie in wait to apprehend a criminal. Yet, as the day’s events unfold, their first inclinations may very well lead them, and us astray.
As often the case when art imitates life, THE CORNER
is a multicultural collaboration; bringing together groups of people from different backgrounds who are excited to draw attention to an all too common problem that still haunts contemporary America. And building off the current transformative groundswell after the senseless South Carolina church tragedy, it is our hope with enough raised voices, that all people will someday finally see just how alike and interconnected we actually are.
THE FUNDING:
Your donations will primarily go towards: Pre and post production, locations, equipment, above and below the line talent, and festival submissions.
