Most 'shows' you can only see and hear. With Innabubble's 'Spirit Of The Forest' experience you can taste the magic, smell the flowers, and feel the wonder as well, which is perfect for young children as well as people with any kind of physical or cognitive impairment, for example intellectual disabilities, dementia, or mental health problems.
The show will bring truck-loads of joy and happiness to the people who need it the most. Your contribution will ensure that Innabubble can buy the equipment and materials they need to reach people in rural County Kerry in the autumn of 2018 in an affordable way.
Innabubble's performers use music, puppets, sound, textures, lights, and movement to tell their stories in the interactive, multi-sensory way, known to be hugely effective.
At least 20 schools and 6 places where these communities meet will benefit from this tour.
Ideally the funds need to be raised by the middle of June in order for the company have what they need to rehearse the shows.
Your support would mean everything to the vulnerable members of our rural communities here in beautiful County Kerry. Multi-Sensory work has proved to be vital in raising self-esteem in the young and those with mental health difficulties in other countries.
Also, people with intellectual disabilities or dementia are often sidelined in society and deserve to have the chance to express their sense of self in a supportive and non-judgemental environment.
It would also mean a lot of course to Innabubble to be able to tour their high-quality show to the most people. The multi-sensory approach, in which small audiences are invited to fully experience the performance close up, is recognised as being a valuable, immersive, and stimulating therapy which enriches the lives of the participants in ways which transcend differences in age, culture, understanding, or ability.
Innabubble's philosophy is that everyone has their own 'bubble', in which they experience their world and sense of self. They specialise in engaging audiences whose world bubble has been shrunk by society's expectations about their limitations - they believe in challenging those expectations by allowing the audience to interact on their own terms with the performers, props, environment, and puppets.
