Non-profit African Dance Classes

For 20 years Imani Edu-Tainers African Dance Company has provided traditional African Dance and Drumming Classes in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.  As a non-profit organization, Imani's mission is to provide training, education and cultural enrichment in African traditions, with an emphasis on youth participation.  

In order to keep our dance classes affordable, Imani relies on grants and fundraising to off-set the cost for students who would otherwise not be able to participate.  Currently, we are facing a funding shortage due to delys with the State budget which our outside of our control. Your donation will provide scholarships for low-income and under-served students with preference given to youth participants.  

Students who complete the nine week Community Dance Classes learn healthy habits to combat adolescent obesity and gain a deep appreciation for the rich African traditions taught through dance.
