Im raising money to order and build an inventory of shirts & hats for my brand Illumignarly. But let me start at the beginning.
There was a boy who looked out at the world, and all he saw was a dark earth inhabited by evil self centered beings that grow cities like a virus and destroy the earth without remorse. Illumignarly is my way of trying to express that. I've suffered and struggled with homelessness and clinical depression since 2008. And the only thing that has kept me alive and full of self worth is my ambition and drive to make something of my life. I ultimately want to open a screen printing shop and do print on demand t shirt and snap back services for like minded individuals in the struggle who do not have the means to start up their own brand. Id create and ship products to their customers with their logo and return address on the invoice. This would be good for bands and clothing lines that don't have money to get started. But first i need to establish my own clothing line so i can have the money to do things like that. Ive been selling my shirts successfully through 3rd party vendors like skreened.com and spreadshirt.com but they keep most of the money and i make a small commission. I've made enough money to order a few pizzas here and there and cover my overhead. But that's pretty much breaking even. And im still struggling, bouncing around surviving off the kindness of others. I want to turn this into a full time job. This is my art. I should not be making commission, i should be making profit. Basically i want to take my brand to the next level and build an inventory of shirts, snap backs, crew necks, windbreakers, and more. Id handle all order fulfillment my self, so turn around time would be a lot quicker. Ill order my shirts in bulk, and sell them through my online store, and id set up merch tables at as many shows as possible. Ive ordered shirts in bulk before and completely sold out! But because it was with borrowed money, i made no profit. None the less, It was very exciting to see people wearing and loving my art. This clothing line has already proven to be a great idea. Having legitimate start up capital to build my inventory would truly be a dream come true for a little guy like me in the struggle. I'm ready to move forward.
