I'm Ileana, a senior in high school. I am an AP student who loves new media and film.
My whole life, my family has been working class, but when my mom passed away my freshman year, the medical expenses flooded our lives. Now, for the past few months, my father has been unemployed and has had to do odd jobs here and there. Although we're just barely making ends meet, I am left to worry about how I'll finance my senior year of high school and my four years of university.
With the money I raise, I'll be spending it on college application fees (which range from $25-$90, depending on the school), fees for the classes I am taking at my high school, AP tests, and to send my ACT and SAT scores to schools.
All of the things I will be spending the money on are crucial to my journey to college.
