Appalachian Trail Thru-Hike!

In March of 2015 I'm planning on taking a hike through the Appalachian Mountains, starting in Georgia, and ending in Maine. My hike will be on a shoestring budget. It normally takes people 3-5k to accomplish this, but I'm pretty thrifty. Any help you can send my way would be much appreciated.
