Bullied 6yr old's Medical Expenses

Donation protected
My six year old son started off Thanksgiving week with a harsh injury. He was dropped off at school monday morning the 24th of November like any other day, I went to work. About ten minutes after I arrived at work I get a phone call from school with my crying child in the background, saying he has fallen and I need to come check him out. When I got there they said very little other than he fell and they thought it might be his collarbone or his shoulder dislocated of course he was screaming and crying in pain. I crying at this point rush him to the ER where I finally get to talk to him now that he is somewhat calmed down, when he proceeds to tell me that two boys bullied him one tried to trip him then another came from behind and shoved him causing him to fall and get hurt.  After a few hours in ER we find that his collarbone is severely broken, and we have no insurance! After some medication for the pain and a sling the doctor explains to my son and I that he may never be able to play some sports due to this injury, depending on how it heals, his upper end of the bone is completely broken off and underneath the still attached part of the collarbone. He now has a permanent injury as result of these bullies! After an exhausting and expensive ER visit I call the school to let them know the extent of his injuries, and let them know that my son did not fall he was victim of bullying and shoved down. The secretary then told me that a teachers aid did witness the event and that he knew another boy pushed him, he missed the first one trying to trip him but had witnessed the other boys forceful shove. Expecting that the schools principle would try to contact me I take my son home for much needed rest and TLC of course! I hear nothing from the school at all so the next day I call and ask to speak with the principle, he explains to me that the school does not help or assume responsiblity for acts of bullying "Sorry Hun"! A school that is responsible for hundreds of children.... does not have any insurance or bully policy, when two of there students broke my childs collarbone during school hours under the care of there faculty? really ......this does not seem right to me at all. I then asked what kind of punishment the boys would recieve for bullying my child and all they told me was the boys would be disciplined. The boys had there parents called...... thats it no missing school no repremanding at all seriously... I understand that these boys are only 6 and 7 but they need to understand putting hands on another child is wrong. I also know they did not intent to break his collarbone but they did intent to push and shove...thus causing this injury. I have not been contacted by the other parents at all during this time, the school is ignoring my concerns and will not release the classmates last names to me. Okay I understand privacy but in this case they assaulted my son. I have filed a police report so it is on file, of course  not pressing charges as I could not send two 6-7 yr old to jail. I am looking to seek legal action for medical reasons so my son can have proper care during his long recovery. We do not have health insurance and are a struggling young family with two kids. We run our own business and struggle to do so, so we do not qualify for gov. benefits. We are asking for your help to raise funds for medical and legal expenses, as well as changing our local schools for the better. My children's christmas is now in jeopardy because of thousands of dollars in medical bills coming in and other bills stacking up. My son is afraid to go to school and has cried himself to sleep out of frustration from not being able to run, jump and play like a normal boy would, he is afraid he will not be able to do wrestling or football next year as he had planned to do this breaks my heart. We would like to make my childs story known as an example of bullying in effort to prevent any further bullying in our small town. I have been contacted by several local parents whom simply state I should transfer schools as they did with their children due to bullying on the bus, at school even going so far as one childs clothes getting taken while she was in the shower, it is out of control in our small town and I for one would like to do something about it! I am not one to run away from our problems or let these kids down when there is an obvious growing bullying problem going on here. Thanks for your help and support to STOP BULLYING!!!
