Zachary's Veterinary Expense Fund
Donation protected
This is Zachary. We adopted him from Siamese Rescue, and he's the sweetest cat I've ever known.
On Friday, November 28th he had to have an emergency cystotomy to remove bladder stones that were fully obstructing his urethra. Fortunately, they got it in time, and his kidneys are still functional.
However, he's had some complications. The main problem is that his bladder and urethra are both abnormally small, and post-surgery he can no longer urinate without a catheter. He is going to need to see a soft-tissue specialist, and he will need further surgery.
We have already spent about $2500 on his care, and while I don't have an estimate yet on the specialist and surgery, I anticipate it will be at least another $2500. Other than this, he has an optimistic prognosis as he is in otherwise good health.
As a way of giving back, any amount we receive in excess of Zachary's veterinary bills will be donated to Rocky Mountain Siamese Rescue in Greely, CO, minimum $100 (I'll kick in to cover the difference if the excess is under $100). If we can at least get halfway to our goal, I will donate $100 to RMSR of my own money.
Your help is deeply appreciated!
