For California based 16-year-old rising star Jaz aka I Am Queen Jaz, working with hit maker producer Remothehitmaker (who has gone on to work with artists from all genres, such as 50 Cent’s signees Kid Kid and Jeremiah, Chrisette Michele, Lloyd Banks, Joe Budden, Nicole Scherzinger, Meek Mill, Swizz Beatz and several others) and New Wave Music Artist/Writer Taybell, is a dream come true for her. Jaz describes her music as fun and youthful while at the same time signifying deep meaning. While Jaz’s heart is Pop/R&B music, she also credits R&B artist Aaliyah and mega star Beyonce as an influential role model to her. Jaz finds it inspiring that both Aaliyah and Beyonce were and are in the spotlight while maintaining a sense of decency and wholesomeness.

In addition to working with the amazing NewWaveMusic team (Remothehitmaker, TayBell & Hunc), Jaz is thrilled to be working with Los Angeles based Grammy nominated producer and pianist Kevin Randolph.  Kevin has produced and played for many artist's such as Jay Z, Big Sean, Drake, Rihanna, Ashanti, Marsha Ambrosius, Jhene Aiko, French Montana, Toni Brazxton, Common, Chrisette Michelle, Keyshia Cole, Estelle, Mindless Behavior, Sevyn Streeter and many more.  Furthermore, Kevin was heavily involved with the 2006 "The Dreamgirls" movie soundtrack.  Recently, he worked along side duo producers Da Internez on the production of the new 2014 Trey Songz album "Trigga".

Some people might say that Jaz is a goody-goody, but she doesn’t mind that. She’d rather be known for doing good things than doing bad things. It is Jaz’s hope that her music will provide a new means for her to give back to her community. “I would like to give back to the homeless communities and other charitable organizations such as The ASHE Foundation, Anti-bullying programs and Breast Cancer Awareness”.

Jaz’s introduction to music started well before she entered the world.  She was listening to the likes of jazz greats like Myles Davis while she was still in the womb. By age 5 she was performing her first solo for her elementary school talent show, singing “Listen” by Beyonce. Through those developing years, Jaz participation in talent shows, local community arts program and artist development training has prepared her to embark on a career as a solo artist today.
