Keeping Baby DJ Home

Hey friends! we would like to thank you for visiting our GoFund me page. We are raising money to keep baby DJ home. We hope that you will join our story by contributing financially to our adoption!

While we have and will be contributing significantly to our cause, we humbly ask that you would consider partnering with us financially so that we can keep our baby DJ home.

About our family: My husband and I have been married for 23 years and together have two beautiful girls naturally ages 22 and 18. The youngest is doing phenominal in high school and the oldest is maintaining a high GPA in college. Our family has always been close, we have a great relationship with our children and have always been supportive in all their hopes and dreams. The sky is the limit and they have always worked hard to accomplish their goals. We are active in church and have dedicated our lives to serving the Lord.  Our family has been blessed beyond belief in what we have together and baby DJ has been a lovely addition to our family. Together and with God we have it all.



So a little about our story thus far DJ's birth mother is a Methamphetamine addict. She has been in prison on four seperate occasions on drug related charges and has used Methamphetamine's throughout her pregnancies with all her children.  While she was five months pregnant with DJ, she was going to have a abortion to terminate her pregnancy. When we were aware of the situation, we stepped forward and answered God's calling for us in saving DJ's life through the process of adoption.  With no prenatal care, DJ was born October 16, 2013 and was on oxygen for the first two weeks of his life followed with pneumonia.  His marconium also tested positive for methamphetamine's. We were not made aware that DJ had been born yet until we got a phone call from DJ's birth father on October 29, 2013 letting us know that DJ's birth mother had been sent back to prison once again and for us to come get him. Since then DJ's birth father has signed his rights over to us. Now that DJ is almost fifteen months old and has been in our care for the majority of his life the birth mother is now out of prison and has decided after four failed prior attempts that she wants to "try" be a mother again and to take him away from his family in which he loves and trusts. This beautiful bouncing baby boy needs stability in which he has with the Jakoubek's and our church family.

Even though this process has been emotionally and financially draining we are excited to see what God has in store for us. We are going to continue to fight for the life that DJ so rightfully deserves. With God, our faith, the power of prayer and the thoughfullness of all our friends and family on GoFundMe we will get through this process and will be able to keep DJ home, where he is loved, protected and treasured.
