Here is Lindy Frampton's story and current situation for you to read.

Two years ago Lindy's husband and father of their three children, Andrew Frampton, passed away after a long battle with cancer of the esophagus.
Since then, Lindy has done all in her power to keep a roof over the family's head and food on the table. However, she has her own health problems, mainly to do with a back injury she suffered some years ago. So, she takes powerful pain killers on prescription, so she can manage to get to her casual work place; she works very hard and really well, as she has a very strong work ethic. However, all of her three children have serious health problems and Lindy often needs to take time off work to be with her ill children. As she is a casual employee, that means that she receives no pay on the days she needs to take off work. She will have no work for four weeks coming up over the Christmas/New year period. So, that means four weeks without any pay. She is however, trying to find other work, and applying for many different jobs. Lindy also suffers from one of the auto-immune diseases that are so prevalent these days. Her doctors are endeavoring to pinpoint which of the auto-immune diseases she has.
A little about Lindy's three children. Kirstyn, 19yrs of age, has been very ill since April. Her doctors suspect that she has MS because of her persistent symptoms. Kirstyn needs to see a neurologist, but the family can't afford it at the moment. Kirstyn required surgery last April as well. Michael will be 18 years of age on the 15th December coming. He suffers from chronic esophagilitis and is vomiting blood every day. He also suffers from a chronic vitamin D deficiency, as his body can't absorb vitamin D. The doctors are concerned that he will develop cancer of the esophagus like his father. Young Rhys is just 6 yrs of age and is suffering from acute, enlarged tonsils and adnoids, which are causing him to suffer from migraines at present. Lindy has to ensure he sleeps on his side and not on his back, as he stops breathing if asleep on his back. This means that Lindy doesn't get much sleep of a night, if at all. The surgeon wants an upfront payment of $1,600 before he will operate on Rhys and remove his tonsils and adnoids. The surgery costs $600 and the doctor's appointment costs $200. Even though Lindy pays for private health insurance, these costs are over and above what her health cover will pay. She daes have an appointment for Rhys to see the doctor on the 10th December, but she will have to cancel this soon, as she doesn't have the money to pay for it!
Financial burdens have been enormous for Lindy since Andrew died. The family first moved from Grenfell to Young, and then to the Shellharbour district so Andy would be closer to the medical services he needed for his terminal illness. The cost of moving was high each time, especially the move to the South Coast. Since Andrew's passing, Lindy has had to cope with trying to meet the rent payments each week, feed the family, pay electricity, water and phone bills, as well as try and meet the increasing medical bills. She also had a car accident not long after Andrew's death, which caused her to be incapacitated for a number of weeks. The NAB bank had not kept it's promises to help Lindy out at all. They do not have any compassion for her plight at present. The NAB repossessed the block of land the family had in Grenfell and their car. That left a shortfall of a $15,000 debt that the NAB promised to wipe for Lindy. However, the bank is now demanding that this debt of $15,000 be paid.
I haven't disclosed all of the challenges Lindy and her children are facing at present, however, I'm sure you'll agree the ones I have outlined above are very serious indeed.
