Help an Autistic Family! :)

Donation protected
My family requires a single family home due to my autistic sons behaviors. We currently reside in a lower duplex with an 18 yr old couple in the apartment above us. This couple is about as tolerant as one would expect, which is not at all. We are constantly receiving complaints about not being able to "control that boy" as well as repercussions (when he jumps, they jump, etc.) It has finally escalated to the point that we are being kicked out. There are no state funded programs for this type of thing... as a matter of fact, when i presented this to our worker in mental health, she said "oh no. What are you going to do?" ...which is the same question i got after losing my job of 10 years due to no childcare. The "help" that is offered is minimal to nonexistent. The major issues in families of autistic children are simply not addressed: housing, childcare, etc. I asked my worker how other families are handling it and she said "well, they lose their jobs and their homes" so, basically, my problem, not theirs. We have moved several times because of improper housing for his needs. I thought that a larger home would be helpful to him, so we moved into a 2 story single family home. It was very expensive but would be worth it if he could progress there. As it turns out, larger spaces are a bad thing. We left after a year and had to pay a ridiculous amount in damages. From there, to a trailer. One level, single wide sounded like a good idea at the time. As it turns out, they aren't the best at sound proofing those trailer and we made enemies fairly quickly. My son is loud and unpredictable.

...but not hopeless. He has made drastic improvements, even with all of the housing chaos. He is no longer destructive, though does still have some aggression issues to work on. He has increased his communication skills immensely. He works hard at getting better and it shows. All we need now is a stable environment to allow the progress to continue. The stable environment is available.  Like a miracle.  A single family home, fenced in yard, in my daughter's school district, and still close enough that I can walk to work - The only thing lacking is the funds to make it happen.

And sadly, without the money to make it happen, there are no other options.  It's not easy to find a place to go with an child as severe as he is. Please share and donate when applicable. :-)
