Medical Volunteer Trip to Kenya

I am at a point in my life where I am fortunate enough to be able to donate my time to help others. With an interest in health care and public health my hope is to make an impact, however small, on the lives of other human beings. In February 2015 I will be travelling to volunteer to help at a hospital in the developing area of Nairobi, Kenya. This program operates in an area of Nairobi named Kikuyu. It has outpatients, inpatients, maternity, x-ray, theatre, reproductive health, pharmacy, and laboratory departments. In this particular program I can be doing anything from observing patients, dressing wounds, taking patients to x-ray, feeding patients, assisting with doctors rounds etc. Though I am able to donate my time, I also must finance this trip and In order to provide for these patients I need help in funding this trip! Expenses go towards travel and living expenses (which is essentially food and shelter). Any little bit helps and is appreciated to the fullest extent.
