Spring Projects: Ice Sucks

Hi.  My name is Sue and I need a Christmas miracle.  Fifteen years ago, my dream of owning a home with my partner, Jill, came true. With the help of my mom, we built a house next door to my childhood home. We've made some great memories here and have lived through some of life's most challenging times. Everything from college graduations, weddings and grandchildren to surviving breast cancer,  and now Alzhiemers Disease, we've lived a lot of life here!  We have worked very hard to maintain our home, but have been unable to save any money for a "rainy day".  The problem we now face is the lack of funds and/or credit necessary to make some much needed home improvements.  Our roof is in desperate need of replacement and the insurance company denied our claim. The front porch is sagging and the sidewalk is cracking. The list goes on, but these are the most important needs.  I can and have done many home repairs over the years, but these are beyond my strengh and skill level.   And if that isn't enough, my truck broke down on Thanksgiving Day and needs $2,700 in repairs.  A friend told me about this website so I thought I'd give it a shot. I know it's a lot to ask for but I don't know what else to do. I thank you for reading my story and I hope you have a wonderful holiday season.
