The Huntley High School Fine Arts Boosters (FAB) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization (aka Fabulous, Inc.). Our mission is to support the interests and talents of Huntley High School students within the fine arts disciplines of Art, Band, Choir, Color Guard, Dance, Marching Band, Theater and Speech.
Teachers receive limited funding for items for use in the classrooms and extra-curricular activities. There is always a “wish-list” and quite often a teacher will voluntarily donate towards obtaining items on this list themselves. The rest is hoped for from monetary support through various fundraising efforts.
This is where we ask for your help. Your tax deductible donation to our FABulous charity will help us to connect our fine arts groups with the items needed to achieve excellence in their craft. We surveyed the fine arts groups with one question: “If there was anything you could put on a wish list for your group, what would it be?”
We thought it would be an easy question to answer but some were hesitant to say at first. You see, the arts are not always thought of immediately when there is support to be given. Yet, the arts are all around us, each and every day. So, though we were puzzled by the hesitation at first, we have come to realize the hesitation is not as the result of the groups not wanting to ask, but simply because they have so much to ask for.
We received their lists and the items within ranged from new music to musical instruments, costumes to performance equipment, art supplies to technology (printers and cameras), and a great deal of varying items in between. Nothing they asked for was considered to be more than what they needed…only what they needed to achieve their very best.
We ask you to please take a moment to make a tax deductible donation towards supporting the Fine Arts groups of Huntley High School. Even if just a little…every bit counts in a very big way! Without your support, it is a challenge for the Arts to survive. But with your support, the Arts can thrive!

Reflect for just a moment what the Arts might mean to you, your family and your life. Art defines the good in people. The experiences we enjoy from them are part of our daily lives.
Consider the best of the TV shows we watch, as well as the movies, musicals, concerts we must run out to see. The sound of music piped in overhead as we shop for food or ride in an elevator. It may encourage us to buy more, lift our mood, calm us, or compel us to suddenly get up and dance! (Don’t ever hesitate to dance!)
While there is much well deserved emphasis placed on sports and the support thereof, it’s easy to overlook the role Art plays at any given sporting event. It starts with the National Anthem, followed by musical clips during brief breaks, waving flags with artistic movement, instrument players marching to the beat of a drum, more musical clips and dancing. Not just by entertainment, but sometimes, by the players themselves. Think of the last time you might have seen a football player “dance” in the end zone after making a touchdown. Why? Because even during a play in the game, the Arts are ever present.
Without Art, sport would be changed, and so, somehow, would we. There is no denying that its presence adds something truly spectacular.
The Arts are in us all. We sing in the shower, decorate our lives with it, recite lines from favorite movies and feel the emotion stir through us while listening to a concert performance or a history making speech. We respond to the Arts because it gives form to what is beautiful, and what is delightful, inside us all as well as all around us. Arts are to the soul what love is to the heart…brilliantly bringing us together.
