Get me to Creating Change 2015

My name is Jennifer Tague, I am a wife, mother and proud straight ally for the LGBT community in Columbia, South Carolina.  I have been a dedicated volunteer for the Harriet Hancock Center for over 25 years.  I am looking for help to get me to Creating Change 2015 in Denver, CO.  Creating Change is the national LGBT conference, put on by the National LGBT Task Force.  This conference will give me the knowledge, the opportunity and the foundation to Create Change in South Carolina.  

I am very passionate about the aging LGBT community in South Carolina.  I saw a documentary Gen-Silent- the LGBT Aging film directed by Stu Maddux which opened my eyes to an underserved community in South Carolina.  This is when I found out about SAGE - Service and Advocacy for GLBT Elders.  I was lucky enough to attend Creating Change in Houston, TX last year.  I learned so much about the problems facing the aging community.  I came home from the conference more determined to start SAGE in Columbia.  I am in the application process to start SAGE in South Carolina.  Attending Creating Change will give me the opportunity to network with other SAGE groups throughout the country and to gain additional information for the group in Columbia.  This is so needed in our community.

Please help fund me so I can attend Creating Change 2015 in Denver, CO.  Every donation will go towards the cost of attending.  My goal is $2,000.  

Registration fee is $350.00
Airfare will run approximately $550.00
Hotel $750.00
Transportation (to and from the airport) $50.00

Any money that is raised over $2,000 or any money I do not use will be donated to the Harriet Hancock Center for getting SAGE off the ground.
